Last Tuesday evening was our first rehearsal for the Master Mason degree on June 16th. All the required officers were present and prepared as we glided through the first half ritual under the watchful eye of a couple of past-masters who helped guide us through some of the nuances of the degree. This Tuesday the 5th will be the second half rehearsal which will begin at 6:00pm. I can’t wait.
I mentioned in the last message that I would be attending the Moriah 15 Crawfish Boil on Saturday and yes, I did exactly that. I sat with quite an interesting group consisting of our District Deputy RW Christopher Carrott, RW Peter Rinaudo and Lady Maria, RW Ken Sheldon, and Br. Ian Sharpe. As promised, the food was excellent. I must say, shucking crawfish is a bit trickier than lobster or even peeling shrimp, but perhaps the process is part of the experience. WB Joe Fox’s homemade Gumbo was beyond fantastic too. Already looking forward to next year’s 3rd Annual Crawfish Boil.
This Wednesday the 6th I will be visiting Somerset – St. James #34 in Preston, CT to deliver the donated business attire for the Career Closet program and to partake in the warm hospitalities of the fine brothers of said lodge. Dinner is at 6:30p and the meeting begins at 7:30p. Contact me if you’d like to go also.
I am looking to tee off at Roseland Golf Course at about 5:15 to 5:30 on Thursday the 7th. All are welcome and invited to join me and then refresh at the lodge afterwards. This will probably be an every week event (weather permitting) so set aside some time for yourself and leisurely golf with your brothers.
Hard to believe we are already halfway through 2018. There have been many peaks and valleys in these few months and I have tremendous gratitude for the Putnam 46 officer line, Past-Masters and Brothers of Putnam 46 for their endless (and often unsung) support. Thank you Brothers!

George Washington’s Rules of Civility
‘Tis ill manners to bid one more eminent than yourself be covered, as well as not to do it to whom it’s due. Likewise, he that makes too much haste to Put on his hat does not well, yet he ought to Put it on at the first, or at the most the Second time of being asked; now what is herein Spoken, of Qualification in behavior in Saluting, ought also to be observed in taking of Place, and Sitting down for ceremonies without Bounds is troublesome.
Thank you for your time brothers,
